Oregon Geriatrics Society (OGS) invites you to consider membership in 2010 either as a new member or as one of our valuable continuing members. Dues are for the calendar year 2010 (January 1 – December 31, 2010). Dues must be paid in full by July 1, 2010 to be eligible for the Annual Conference “member rate”.
OGS has a growing membership that includes a variety of health professionals. We have the potential to stand for, and strongly state, our views regarding the care of Oregon’s older adults. As most of our current members can attest, we also have the benefit of being able to influence what OGS will become in the future. We are affiliated with the State of Oregon and Seniors & People with Disabilities which will allow us to address issues impacting elder care on a state level. We welcome health care providers from any state, not just Oregon, who wish to become members of OGS.
Membership in OGS entitles you to gain opportunities to collaborate and network with other members – our physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other health professionals who all work with older adults. You will also find that membership dues are more than recovered through the discount member rate for our Annual Conference - a meeting of national quality to be held October 8-10, 2010 at Sunriver Resort in Central Oregon. Watch for our “Spring Dinners” – one in Lane County and one in Multnomah County taking place in April 2010. OGS maintains a website—this year we’ll invite members to list referrals and recruitment opportunities at no cost.
With your support OGS will continue to provide you, the membership, the opportunity to be part of an organization that stands for excellence in the care for the elderly.
